1st Quarter of 2017 (Spoilers Below)

That was a cool season finalé. Ok, after seeing the whole first season, I have a better grasp on what the actual genre mix is here. Meaning: It's a drama/sci-fi/horror/suspense thing & I see that this show is A LOT LESS action oriented than I had hoped for, but it's still a cool show. I respect what Mr. Hawley is doing, but I still want more action though. The sci-fi is on point, let's make the action on point too. Please don't turn this show into an X-MEN (2000), I beg of you. The big fight at the end of the first episode was the ultimate tease. I thought "Wow, if this is the fight scene at the end of the first episode, then surely the season finalé will be EVEN MORE action-packed!" & so, I kept expecting that type of thing to happen more often. I thought they were setting the stage for more of that kind of action, maybe not in EVERY episode, but jeez... like, maybe half the episodes this season would've been nice. Doing it in the darned season finalé would've been nice too! Also, I would have liked to have seen a scene where the Shadow King telekinetically throws Division: 3’s B Team miles away, or destroys them, or something. The way they directed it, it looked like he just casually drove off the premises with no resistance at all, & maybe he did. Maybe he wiped, or froze, their minds or something. But an establishment scene of where they were at the time, what happened with them, or some kind of skirmish, when the Shadow King was leaving would’ve been nice. In an earlier episode, the Shadow King said that Syd’s secrets have secrets. Somehow, I believe him. I hope Syd’s past comes out & we see her character have more depth. I wouldn’t be against her having an ulterior motive (or 2) as to why she wants Legion alive, beyond just loving him. & just when I thought this show couldn’t get any more random, Legion is captured by a pokéball. O.o & we will have to wait until the next season starts to find out who kidnapped him & why. Well, gosh darn it! This really IS random.

That was a cool chase scene. I'll be watching it again later. I liked when The Flash phased through the time machine & quarterback sacked Abra Kadabra. Abra Kadabra mentioned a villain named DeVoe. Ah, another villain to come, I suppose. I'm a little disturbed by the fact that H.R. was more interested in the lime jello & Rhonda than seeing if Caitlin was ok. What was with that scene where Caitlin was flat-lining? What took them soOo long to rip the necklace off of her to save her life? Sheesh, they act like they've never been thrown across the room by a super villain's powers before. Anyways, here's something to read-up on about this DeVoe character...

Ha-ha! Great episode, great action. Makes me want to break out the old Clone Wars DVDs to watch those Anakin vs. Ventress fights & others. Man, he really bled for a long time floating down that river. I liked the stealth kills in the snow, but I especially liked the part where he closed his eyes & did that concentrated punch. If only he could call upon that ability more. Wow, that would be scary awesome. :O Aku's daughters kinda suck when you think about it. Jack was battle-scarred, cold, hungry, tired & didn't really care to fight, & still owned them. Yeah, he's the man & all, & crazy hard to beat as it is, but they still kinda suck. I mean, as he's blocking an attack by a few daughters, the other daughters could be shanking the living crap out of him from all of his other uncovered angles with long-range weapons -- especially when they had him surrounded in the snow swinging that heavy iron club thing. Oh, & I can't forget to mention the flashback. Jack slipped away from his mother just long enough to see his father body those assailants & get their blood on his face. HAHAHA That was pretty funny. I was all like "& thus, in that moment, Samurai Jack was born!" XD XD XD

That was an ok episode of Supergirl. Oh, I get it: "Distant Sun" & "Distant SON" Hardy-har-har! Anyways, I see that they are trying to be a bit more like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with their little twists. You know, the King's death, & the reveal of the President at the end of this episode. That royal guard couldn't fight worth a lick! The Queen they were protecting fought better than they did. Must be a cushy job. Maybe the King and Queen never get attacked often. This made it even more implausible when Martian Manhunter was in the middle of wiping the floor with them, & suddenly went to his knees, right on cue as a member of the royal guard held a staff to his neck. That part looked so fake & lazy both direction-wise & fight choreography-wise. Check it out for yourself at time frame 32:54 - 33:04, & judge for yourselves. Anything to get Kara to join the fray, I suppose... >.> Anyways, I'm getting tired of Mon El. Is Mon El EVER going to do anything substantial? I feel like “Why is he even here?" I haven’t seen him really be a super hero yet, & he's had TONS OF TIME to get good. I mean, there was 1 training scene, 1 mission where he screws up, then he's off to flipping hash brown for Kara. I think all I ever saw him do was save a little girl or something. The Guardian has kicked more butt than Mon El has -- & he’s a human! What’s the point of him being in the show? What does he do? Who does he ever win a fight against? He's had SO MANY episodes to get good at fighting & be focused on being a hero. Is he just just there to get beat up, get kidnapped, bow to his mother's will, get pimp-smacked by his mother, be a love interest & flip hash browns? Not to mention, he only want to be a superhero because Kara is a superhero. With all of his power, he didn’t even want to be a hero at first. So, if Kara wasn’t saving people, but instead was working at a Baskin Robbins, he would want to do that for the rest of his life too, instead of saving people, just because Kara is doing it & he's in love with her. I'm sorry, but as I stated before, James & Winn actually seem like they actually WANT to be heroes to help people. Mon El is just a bro in love... & if this Supergirl/Mon El vs. Cyborg Superman fight doesn’t occur soon, I’m going to be very, very displeased. Oh, who am I kidding? At this point, Mon El wouldn't offer anything to the fight anyway...

I just saw the new Justice League trailer. Cyborg looks tight. Especially when he's flying. Ok, so, they could say Arthur Curry & Barry Allen, but couldn't say Victor Stone for some reason... >.> You just activated my trap card, Yu-Gi-Oh, & it happens to be a race card. What are those things they're fighting? Parademons? Well, whatever they are, I hope they can fight better than the Chitauri. I like the part where Aquaman shish kebabs them with his trident. The fight vs. the Amazons looks massive. The Batman parts are gonna be great to watch. Although, I have a feeling that all of this will mostly be light-work for Wonder Woman & Aquaman, though. Pretty good trailer. Gave me the action I wanted to see in a trailer without giving too much away. Gonna be tight. 👍

That episode had an Are You Afraid of the Dark? vibe to it, which was cool. It’s good to see more practical effects & camera tricks this time around. This show always has a good mix of practical & non-practical going on. Good to see Professor X vs. The Shadow King in a psychic battle, & in toon form. XD Kerry is upset at Cary for leaving her? Well, she doesn't seem like the type to hold a grudge too long, so I hope this doesn't become a thing. The way this episode ended was such a tease with all the bad guys surrounding the good guys. I wanted to see Legion rip Division: 3 a new one... again! Why tease the on-coming action like that though? As if the "legion of fans" aren't already going to tune in for the season finalé.

Wow! Nothing like meeting your boyfriend's racist slaver parents for the first time, eh Kara? ♫ Worst brunch ever. ♫ Winn's girlfriend is invisible on cameras. Ok, because of that, I thought the security footage of Winn was going to be A LOT more embarrassing than it was, if you know what I mean. & dang how many sheets of glass did The Guardian get thrown & kicked through? What was that, a window factory or something? Aside from getting rag-dolled once, he did hold his own against that alien as much as could be expected, he just wasn't able to drop him... or hurt him... I said it before & I'll say it again: The Guardian suit isn't equipped for fighting super strong & super durable aliens, like Agent Danvers’ suit is. He's got the armor to take hits, but no enhanced strength. Give his suit a strength upgrade already! Or at least a separate alien fighting suit -- especially when he's rollin' with the D.E.O.

Wow! If it wasn't already apparent from the first episode that that this is an Adult Swim show, it CERTAINLY was this time! I felt like I was watching a dark version of a Disney animated movie in some parts. This time Jack was on the run, but the next episode he'll be in full offensive mode. Can't wait! 👍

Not much to report on last weeks Arrow & The Flash, so I didn't write anything about them. & while I'm on the subject, I won't be watching The Flash's musical episode either. Just not my cup of tea. Have fun watching it yourselves though! I'm sure it'll be better than Barry & Kara's first cross-over where they shoe-horned Barry into a Supergirl solo adventure script. Why do I call it a solo adventure script? Glad you asked! 2 super heroes who have fought & beaten dozens of super villains vs. Livewire (with 1 episode's worth of fighting experience) & Silver Banshee (with 0 episodes of fighting experience) -- yet the heroes have to retreat from battle when they already have the villains on the ropes. Anyone can see that they plugged The Flash into an already-made solo Supergirl script & didn't bother to change the combat dynamic of the fight. Oh, did I forget to mention that Supergirl & The Flash don't even beat the villains? A fireman shoots water on Livewire & the fight ends. So, anyways, have fun watching your musical episode of The Flash. Hope it's not an already-made Flash episode where Supergirl is shoe-horned in, in place of Iris or something, just to say that they had a cross-over...

Ok... That episode just gave me like... a million MORE reasons to crush on Aubrey Plaza. As if all of the close-ups of her face wasn't already more than enough to look at, THIS PART comes up. My goodness, did it just get hot in here??? Please pardon me while I fan myself. Also, the practical effects & special effects in this show are quite seamless. There are times when they play with my eyes so much that I don't know which is which! The swelling wall still has me fooled (at time frame 32:11). Was that purely CG or purely practical effects with latex? I figured it was CG, but when Syd touched it & it started bleeding, it seemed so real. Maybe it was a combination of both practical & CG. I can't tell it if was stretched & contorted partially in a computer to assist the look of practical movement or not. Then there's the part where Cary & Kerry are flinging food into each other's mouths (at time frame 13:46). At first, that part made me say "Wow, I wonder how many takes they had to do to get that shot without messing it up." Then I was like "Wait, was that CG?" Then there was the part where Syd is listening to the music & she tilts back & floats to her bed (at time frame 34:09). Was that green screened or was she put on a gurney rig, making it all practical??? The perfect atmospheric lighting on the metallic parts of the headphones make me lean toward it being practical effects, but you never know with today's computer technology. The way that the blanket magically cover her body looked like they shot that part backwards, so now I'm REALLY confused. ??? o.O ??? But it's a HAPPY confused. Anytime I can't figure out a show's effects right off the bat, shows me it's level of quality. I hope that, one day, they show how they do all of this stuff; maybe on the Blu-ray & DVD sets. The effects teams are magicians at what they do. 👍 👍 👍

I'd just like to take this moment to appreciate & celebrate the fact that I will never have to see another commercial for that jive turkey show Grimm ever again after this season. I hope they don't come back with any post-series tv movie(s) or mini-series later on either. Fingers crossed -- knock on wood. I swear, after quitting this show years ago, every time I saw a commercial for it, I'd have the same 4-Step response. Step 1: Scrunch up my face like I'm drinking lemon juice. Step 2: Say or think "Daaang! This show STILL comes on?! I though it would've been canceled by nowww!" Step 3: Stand there in utter disbelief (for 3-5 seconds). Step 4: Walk away from the TV while shaking my head in utter disbelief (for 3-9 seconds).

Saw the new DuckTales trailer a few weeks back, & there's really nothing to complain about. Seems comical & charming. Of course, knowing me, I want to see more action. Jeez, "More-Action" should be my middle name. Anyways, some people dislike the art direction. I'm fine with it. The original came out 30 years ago. Nostalgia withstanding, I would never expect them to copy a style for 30 years ago. New generation = new Art Director, new Art Director = new art DIRECTION. Just kinda makes sense to me. Every era has it's own style(s) & that goes for comedy writing too. Well anyways, I can't wait!

If you're a fan of Street Fighter 3, I'd highly suggest you read Street Fighter Unlimited issues #'s 10 & 11. I remember years ago when I first played Street Fighter 3, I was like "Wow, the boss of this game is supposed to be a god... Capcom really painted themselves into a corner this time." But I gotta say, finally seeing the fights play out against Gill the way it did was quite satifsfying. 👍 & while you're at it, check out issue #12 to see Ryu vs. Oni. That's the form that Akuma takes when he has become one with the Satsui no Hado entirely. 👌

HAHA! That was the rawest TMNT fight I ever saw. That TMNT vs. Super Shredder fight is going to be hard to top moving forward. I'm not saying it's impossible to top, but any other creative teams are going to have their work cut out for them. That goes for movies & other TMNT series too! Wow, I can't even pick a favorite part. If I tried, I'd most likely keep changing my mind. XD Big ups to everyone involved with writing that fight.

*Gulp* I don't think that I consciously realized that Singer was an Executive Producer of LEGI⨂N until now. In fact, this show has A TON of Executive Producers, Co-Executive Producers & Co-Producers, so that makes me feel a bit better that it's not just him calling the shots. & Being 5 episodes in, without any problems, also puts my mind a bit more at ease. I just hope that Singer's involvement only extends as far as him giving his money to the project. Let's not have a repeat of his whole X-Men movie fiasco. I'd like a mutant experience that actually has plausible continuity (both chronologically & character-wise), thank you very, very much. XD I just wish I could have seen ALL of that action, but the security footage was epic enough. :-D Kerry with a nail-spiked bat; such a goon -- I love it! Would've been cool to see her crack The World's Angriest Boy's paper maché head open though -- or that obese monster. Hmm, that gives me some fan art ideas. I'm intrigued by Cary's findings about this monster in Legion's head & want to see where this goes -- as well as the childrens' voices he heard.

What's all this about freezing your fat? I saw 2 or 3 commercials about women going to clinics & getting their fat frozen in certain places of their body because exercise has no effect anymore. Well, it's 2017, & I kinda expected there to be newer technological & chemical advancements discovered, but this??? I have so many questions. How long does a freezing last? Weeks? Months? As long as you want? Do you have to go back to get it refrozen if you take a hot bath? Is freezing just a descriptive term used & it's not even freezing anything at all, but just holding fat in place with chemicals???

Man, I don't care what anybody says. J'onn was right to trick Alex by shape-shifting to look like her father -- especially after how she went ham on that Cadmus prisoner. She's a loose cannon that can't control her emotions. Oh, don't get me wrong, she's a great agent -- one of the best, but when that mess gets personal she flies off the handle. She thinks she can just punch her way through problems. If she'd been thinking clearly & paid attention, she'd have gotten the intel. that the guy has a bomb in his head. J'onn has this stuff under control & she needs to start to trust him more even when she feels helpless. Then she wants to act like a little punk & act like it was messed up for J'onn to trick her. Oh please, where's the tough girl now? Now, on to Kara. She follows the suggestion of Lena Luthor & then Mon El's advice & then gets fired because of both. HAHAHA Dang, she needs to get some new friends. Anyways, James is back! & in his Guardian suit, if only for a fleeting moment. The shrouded aliens are revealed, & Teri Hatcher & Kevin Sorbo are playing them! O . o Yikes! Gonna be weird seeing them play bad guys. I'm still hoping that this Supergirl/Mon El vs. Cyborg Superman fight, that I've been wanting to see, happens soon. Fingers crossed.

A wild Grodd appears! Trainer Gypsy called out Primeape... errr... I mean Solovar! Solovar used STOMPING TANTRUM. It's super effective! Tsk -- tsk! Kid Flash & Jessie Quick fought, & lasted longer against, more gorillas than The Flash did. In fact, all he managed to do was get knocked into a taxi??? Sheesh... H.R. said it right: "Well, that was not the start we we're looking for." Hey, he was just saying what everyone else was thinking. XD I mean, without the part where The Flash happened to punch in the correct 5 digit code to stop the nukes, I'd be wondering to myself: "Who's show is this anyway?" After such a poor fighting performance against primates (or just one), I feel the only appropriate response to Barry this episode is this meme...

Hey, where the heck is James in all of this! He's been gone for 2 episodes. Does this mean I get a Guardian digital short showing him taking down a major crime ring of about 200 bad guys? :D No? Well, a guy can dream can't he? :-/ Also, I thought that Supergirl was going to fight Cyborg Superman again (with Mon El), but it was a lousy train rescue instead. ):-P) Good teaser by having Cyborg Superman there to say "Ka-boom", & set the bomb in the first place, but still... So, Etch A Sketch is no longer owned by Ohio Art. Now Spin-Master owns it. If you go to OhioArt.com, you'll see that they specialize in mostly lithographic print tins. It's kinda cool that Spin Master has kept the Ohio Art logo on the toy though. It's seems weird having such a popular toy like the Etch A Sketch not be owned by Ohio Art, but I guess I'm just glad that the toy is actually still around at all! I usually don't watch tv shows as they actually air on tv, so I certainly have no idea what time repeats play at all, but I caught LEGI⨂N on tv last night as an acception. Thank you, FX network, for showing those 2 episodes of The Strain after LEGI⨂N this week! I actually stopped watching it due to the episodes being taken off of the website, & anyone that has Comcast OnDemand certainly knows that they weren't going to be of any help. Only got to see the 1st episode of the latest season. Although I missed episodes 3x2 through 3x7, I got to see some great story arcs come to a close.👍 Now I just have to figure out how & where I'm going to see the season finale. From what I can gather from the clothes & hairstyles of this show, it's supposed to be a period piece (I guess? o.O). So, why did Syd use today's slang after they swam out of the lake? I hate when they do that in a period pieces. It takes me out of the retro vibe & time frame. That's not the first time I've seen this happen with shows & movies either. But then again, it's Noah Hawley's creation, so he can mix & match time frames & slang to his own liking, I guess... But was there no word in the 1960's equal to saying "bad-a**"? Sheesh... As long as no one says "mic drop" or "swag", we'll be good. Maybe it is a mixing of time frame athetics. I think the interrogator in the 1st episode had a touch screen tablet. ?? O.o ??
About the monster: I liked how they don't show him for more than a few seconds. If you see him for too long, he becomes less scary. So, great job with that.
So far, the narrative pace is decent, but anymore than, like, 1 more episode of going in his mind (in a row) will be a bit unbearable to me. Next week, let's get back to the action. Where's that dude that was throwing people around with his mind? The girl with the tan jacket seems to be itching for a fight. Legion seems dead-set on finding his sister, so hopefully we can get him out of the lab & off the couch & into going on a mission to retrieve her soon.

HAHAHA That episode was such an animé. Purposely done of course, but I could see myself watching something like that in 1994 on the Sci-Fi Channel or something. Only instead of Superman & Hawkman vs. Lobo, it'd be teenage girls in skirts, fighting with swords 3-times bigger than they are. But the Taxi Driver & the worm criminal, need not be changed at all. Duh. Try to mix it up a bit next time. He didn't get to be the king for nothing. Caitlin saying "Fear me, Julian." was actually kinda amusing. :) hehehehe

Cool episode! Very cerebral, very sci-fi -- with a healthy dose of action. Dang, LMD Coulson is a stone cold killer! Jemma was a real basket-case. Sheesh, pull it together, sister! Quake was really trying to fight LMD Mace? o.O Uhhh, ok, if you say so. Cool fight scene, but it seemed like a waste of energy to me. Wow, LMD May turned out to be as much as a hero as the real May. The Best Line: "I've observed much human behavior. And the more I see, the harder it gets to find a logic to it." -- Aida 2. Ha! You can say that again. I can totally relate to that sentiment. Speaking of Aida 2, I liked the suspenseful relationship between her & Radcliffe; like he was scared of her to some extent & had to convince her of things to keep her under his control, but still her master, yet she wanted to please him, yet she was strong enough to do as she pleased (& did). It was a nice suspenseful tease to watch their scenes together & wondering when Radcliffe would give the answer to her query that would end his life. I don't think I appreciated those scenes enough while they were happening. Now that he's dead, those interactions will be missed. Crazy last scene set-up for the next episode all the way in April. Fans are going crazy on FB seeing May in that Hydra Triskelion. So, I guess I can add this show to the long list of shows that have the main character(s) jacked-in to a life-like computer matrix that they don't know is not the real world (yet). Since the show has been so good, I'll wait & see what they do with it -- instead of rolling my eyes & saying "Ugh, this is so cliché." They might just surprise me.

They probably laughed a lot & did multiple takes while saying (& trying to say) that name. Winn's got a gf, eh? Will she end up being Supergirl's ally, OR a bad guy trying to get access to valuable D.E.O. intel.? I'm jus' sayin', that whole bar fight could have been staged. Maybe she wants to break someone out. Oh, & Mon El still sucks in a fight. He makes a tough guy comment & then proceeds to get thrown through a glass bus stop kiosk. Classic Mon El. Ok, the 2nd episode still has the same vibe (obviously) but, as I hoped, many of the overwhelming elements from the 1st episode are toned waaay down. I had hoped that all of the overwhelmingly high amount elements from the 1st episode were just to let us see how he sees things from his P.O.V., & then the director would tone it down from there on out. I'm glad that my hope went answered. I'll be watching this show. It's not one of my favorites (yet? o.O), but we'll see...

Mack loses his shotgun almost immediately during that rescue scene. He's lucky that the henchman was dumb enough to jump on his back instead of using his own shotgun against him.
I thought that Anton Ivanov vs. Quake fight was a bit underwhelming. I mean, sure he doesn't have powers and she does, but I was expecting more out of him other than a headbutt once he got up close. More cheating -- more blades -- a gun -- an explosive -- something! You're going to risk defeat, vengeance and your organization by letting yourself get blasted around the room on purpose? Well, like I said before: He's just some random guy that sniffs onions.
Oh, and looking on IMDB, I see that Johnny Arcade himself, Stivi Paskoski, was in this episode. He was the guy that asked Coulson for his papers and told him that Americans talk too much. I always knew he was still acting in smaller roles, here and there, but not in a show that I actually watch. Great seeing him in one of my favorite shows. :)
Anyways, nice little LMD dynamic set up for the next week's episode. Should be fun to watch.

Oh, come on! Now Mr. Mxyzptlk wants Kara too!?!? How many guys does this even make?? 4? Or is it more? I’m losing count. Why don’t they just call the show “Everybody Loves Kara”? This is turning into “There’s Something About Mary the Series”. What is so great about her? I don’t see it. There are other women in the city to date, you know. Is one of her super powers ‘super attraction’ or something? It’s just guy after guy after guy. Jeez! I’m calling it early, too: There’s most likely going to be a Buffy/Spike thing between Kara and some future yet-to-be-named villain later on. Oh, and now she realizes she can “have it all” with Mon El. Wow, too bad she didn’t come to that same realization last year with James.
Speaking of James: Guardian was no slouch against Metallo. He was getting some good kicks in for a while, until Metallo started winning with his strength and Kryptonite blasts. I think the Guardian suit should have an enhanced strength upgrade like Alex’s metal brace suit. I recall her punching Metallo through a parking garage pillar with that suit in episode 2 of season 2.
Worse Line of the Episode: "People still think Macaulay Culkin is dead."
Wow... Do they? Do they really? XD I kind of picture some poor misinformed soul watching this episode and saying "*Gasp* You mean he's really alive?!" :O

So, it was great to see her get owned by Karnac the way that she did. She was due for a humbler -- and boy-oh-boy was that ever a humbler! She was all twisted up as she fell to the floor. Now I know why they call it Disney XD. Because I'm over here like: HAHAHAHA XD. I want to watch that clip over and over now. It was like I was watching a Capcom super finisher. I'm so glad that happened to her instead of Black Panther. She freaking deserved it for all of her trash-talk on her premiere episode of this series. Oh, and who the heck cares what happened to Tony? Wow. I wonder who would've won that race if Barry hadn't phased through that building. Things that make you go hmmm... Speaking of phasing, Barry phased a whole train and the people on it. I like watching a show where something different happens from time to time to stop it from getting stale, especially if that something is the hero doing something on a scale that they've never done before. Kid Flash using the blood-phasing trick on Yorkin, and Kaitlyn using her powers to help stop the spread of decay inside of Iris counts as well!

I don't know about Riverdale... I hope it really picks up soon... I don't think I like this thing where it's only just a few tidbits of info. about who killed the kid each week, with a few characters acting suspiciously sprinkled on top of that. Give me some clues to really sink my teeth into. At this rate it feels like 95% teen drama and 5% mystery -- and some of that 5% is fused in with the teen drama (obviously). I'd like it more if it was 50/50. I mean, the show feels like it's moving at a good pace drama-wise, but it's not enough uncovering mystery per episode. I almost feel like the only way to feel satisfied enough in one sitting, would be to wait until the end of the season to binge watch it. Maybe I will... Also, I ask myself: Would I even be watching this, or giving it a chance, at all if it didn't have Archie Comics characters in it? The answer is: Nope!

Sometime between leaving the van and running into the warehouse to help the rest of Team: Arrow, Mr. Terrific is able to paint a perfectly-edged "T" on his face while carrying a sonic dampener gun. Uh, how? It's not as simple as just putting shoe polish under your eyes. I get an image in my head of Felicity running beside him putting it on for him, or at least holding a mirror for him as they run. XD As I stated before, I usually skim through Arrow episodes, but is this a normal thing with this this character? I never saw them cut those 2 parts together that closely before -- and then magically a "T" is on his face.

Dang! Now that was the real Batman Begins! They could have used this script for the first 45 minutes of that movie and I would have actually LIKED that movie. (Well, at least the beginning.) Great exposition dialogue from Jerome. Great seeing Bruce fight Jerome. Man, I though it was going to be Jerome unleashed, it turned out being Bruce unleashes as well. What’s with these sponsors though? Jerome gets his face punched off by Gordon and the next thing I hear is Oprah’s voice saying “♫ WEIGHT WATCHERS! ♫” Ugh… kinda killed the mood. Penguin’s monologue to Edward at the pier trying not to get shot: “When I first met you, you were a jittery loser!” Uh, yeah, I’d shoot Oswald, too. Good call, Nygma. Oh, and thanks for the mild spoiler Xfinity OnDemand. “Gordon's Uncle Frank pays him a visit” indeed. Was that really necessary? Anyways, another great episode from the most consistent comic-based show that I watch. 2 thumbs up! This show may not be the most liked, or be a spin-off of a popular movie series, but it’s always been consistently good since the 1st episode. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I put complete faith in this show’s creators. They know what they’re doing with their universe.

Gah! Ducktales is coming this Summer? O.o That's a good time for it to come out, but that tv teaser spot is extremely ill-timed and misleading. What's with all of this madness in late 2016 saying "Coming 2017"? They made it seem like it was coming in early 2017 or something. Now I go to the Facebook page and see that they posted a new cover photo, on Jan. 24th of this year, which reads "Coming This Summer". What the duck, dude?! Gee, thanks for the head-up! You could've said that last year, you know... Anyways, I've never seen any show teased, on tv, this many months in advance (spanning 2 seasons so far, with 1 more season to go).

Ok, let's dive right into it.
[1st Thing]: Daaang, Miss Grundy! It's like that?
[2nd thing]: The french kiss during cheerleader try-outs was EXTREMELY forced, both writing-wise and character-wise. It was just a gratuitous, random, shock-value moment and should've never been put into the episode. It was like the CW wanted to give people ammunition to hate on the show. You've spent like maybe half of a school week around this girl (if that) and you're already kissing her? To get what? To get cheerleaders to let you onto a squad? Why would they do that just because you kissed her? And then the plan fails anyway? Ha! Who wrote that crap? I felt like I was watching a deleted scene that should've ended on the cutting room floor. Shock-value sells, but I don't respect that kind of shock-value because it usually makes you look too desperate for viewers. This takes away from the integrity of the show. If those 2 characters were going to kiss under those circumstances, it would be better suited for Robot Chicken, not a drama/mystery show that's actually trying to take itself seriously. On a side note: Cheryl says that Faux-Lesbian kissing hasn't been taboo since 1994. I'm still trying to figure out how a high school cheerleader of today knows accurately about what was taboo in 1994? Wasn't she like roughly negative 6 years old at that time? But I digress...
[3rd thing]: Out of all of the characters being walking-CW-teen clichés, Kevin is the biggest. But that's not saying much. It's The CW after all; what else were they going to do with him?
[4th thing]: Many people say the show sucks, or that it's amazing and they are hooked. I feel like it was simply just a 1st episode of a show, and that it was not bad, but not spectacular either. And really, who cares that I don't agree with every new choice they've written for this new Archie/CW universe? I'm just here to solve the mystery of who killed Jason Blossom, pretty much...

Ok, confession time. I decided not to watch Arrow anymore due to the relationship drama overload. But when I saw that Ragman on a YouTube clip, I was like "Whoa! Is that Ragman?" So, now I watch the show... sort of. I go to the site and skip to the action parts and just enough of the dialogue in the surrounding action scenes to understand what's going on. Oh, and to heck with the flashback scenes too. Ok, we get it: Ollie is hardcore and TONS of crap happened to him in the past that forged him into the 'man of steel' that he is today. Enough with the flashbacks! So, yeah, I do a cliff-notes version of it. It's just so much unnecessary dialogue about unnecessary make-up/break-up relationship crap. And hey, I got other stuff to watch, that I actually WANT to watch.

I'm just now finding out that Ming-Na Wen was the voice of Dr. Aki Ross from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. I thought it was Bridget Fonda all this time. I could never get past her face looking so much like Bridget Fonda that I thought it was Bridget Fonda doing the voice. I remember when he died and so many people on the Facebook page were mad because they wanted him to become The Joker. Well, he still could be now that he's been resurrected... or not. You know how the writers like to trick us (repeatedly) -- they're very good at it too. So, I'm not gonna say that HE IS The Joker, but I'm sure not gonna say he isn't The Joker either.

I saw the new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers trailer. Good stuff, but if this is a full trailer, not a teaser, why is the action still so teased? It was great to see a bit more action, but show me more next time. Also, I'm still looking forward to seeing another trailer because the ones I've seen so far are too Breakfast Clubby for my liking. It's like, "Eww, my Power Rangers and my The Breakfast Club are touching on my plate!". But what do you expect? They're teens so it's time for Hollywood to lean heavy on that troubled teen aspect. Is Alpha 5 being voiced by French Steward o.O ? Music-wise: Ugh, they could have chosen anything but Kanye West's "Power". I would not have been apposed to a little Linkin Park.
