Why did the father grab the gun from the guard in a room filled with guards??? Then, why did the mother grab the gun, & basically telegraph that she was going to shoot??? The only thing I could think of that would've been going through her mind was: "Oh, you just killed my husband for grabbing this gun! I'd better grab it too. I'm sure my fate will be waaay different than his. I'll shoot all of you, & be able to get away with my son.
" They both got killed, instead of staying alive long enough to finish the grandfather's work. Anyways, that WHOLE PART felt extremly forced. It was like, "Yeah, let's give this main character a super-duper tragic backstory with the overly-cliche'd, almost obligatory comic character parents' death." I guess she knew she was going to die after the trial so she wanted to get shot, too??? They could've written this better; given it all a different situation instead of a court hearing where they get caught & were about to get sentenced, but then died. I'd have kept the parents alive -- or at least 1 of them. But noooo, let's just kill off both parents, & the grandfather too. Yeeeaaah, I don't think I'll be watching this show...
It really failed to captivate...

Awww, heck! I guess I'll try out Krypton. It doesn't really seem like something I'd want to see. Gotham is more than enough if I want to see a show of that type. But hey, what do I have to lose??? If I don't like it, I'll just drop it. If it's good, it may even become 1 of my top 5 shows of the week. You never know...

Sooo, uuuuhh, no Scream: season 3 in March, or what, MTV??? You kinda are about to run out of enough March to actually use. This is kinda getting embarrassing... But hey, have fun showing your Jersey Shore spin-off, Fear Factor, & Teen Mom O.G., though... >.>

Great fight!
â¬…More fights like this 1, please. The comedic part with Two-Bits & the woman throwing the microwave out the window was well done too. XD XD XD Does Jefferson ever verbally apologize to Gambi for anything??? Sheesh! I haven't seen him do it yet -- & with all of the torture stuff that was happening in this episode, I really thought for sure that Jefferson would have apologized, but he still didn't. I guess he does it in his own way, with other words & jestures... Perfect reveal my eye, ComicBook.com! Not when you randomly show the Vice Principal in the "Previosly on Black Lightning" show opening. As soon as Gambi spoke about the finding a spotter, it was pretty obvious.

I've been monitoring this whole
Carmen Sandiego movie thing for over a decade; back around 2005 when internet rumors were circulating that JLO would play Carmen in a live-action film. Things were quick for years, until 2011, when I found out that Jennifer Lopez was attached to the project as a Producer. Some speculated that she would play Carmen, herself. Then a few years ago, in 2017, it was revealed that Gina Rodriguez would supply the voice of Carmen in a new cartoon for Netflix. Ok, that's cool, but not 'live-action movie cool.' Now, in 2018, we find out that Gina will not only be playing Carmen in a live-action Netflix film, but also be Produer as well. Wow, just wow... But do I really want it to be Netflix, though??? I've always invisioned it being shown in theatres... Ah, well! I'm just glad it's FINALLY being made at all!

Ok, so, apparently this is a thing now...

General Talbot - Shot through the forehead, but survives due to the bullet missing vital gray matter.

Butch Gilzean - Shot through the forehead, but survives due to the bullet missing vital gray matter.

Jackson Van De Kamp/William: Shot thought the forehead head, but survives due to being an alien/human hybrid with an accelerated healing factor.

Sofia Falcone - Shot through the
forehead, but survives due to the bullet missing vital gray matter.

So, anyways, I guess we're all gonna have to get used to seeing characters shot through the forehead from now on, just before going to commercial, only to find out that they survive due to the bullet missing vital gray matter, or we find out that they just happen to be The Ultimate Living X-File, when they show comes back from commercial. *Sigh* These are the times we're in...

Ok, cool twist with Dark Flitz. You know things are bad when your good side (in your head) comes into the room to tell the evil side (who's physically causing mischief) to stop what he's doing. Usually it's the other way around, yes? Just ask The Riddler on Gotham! HAHAHA I've got a fan theory that the reason why Simmons vomited after finding out that Zeke was her Grandson was because perhaps she found him a bit attractive. I mean, he is a caucasian male, with the same weight, build, age group, & facial hair as her husband. Heck! Eventhough we viewers can't see it, narrative-wise, he probably bares a facial resembalace to Fitz, too! He is, after all, Fitz' Grandson. Yes, she could have vomitted due to possibly being pregnant going forward into the show, but heck! Can't it be both??? Oh, & I'm through trying to figure out when Mack dies. Every episode they keep teasing his death. I'm, like, 99% sure that when he does finally die, I won't even see it coming, which bugs the heck out of me. Ugh!!! I am both, perplexed & perturbed.

You know you're getting close to season finale territory when your main character gets shot in the gut once, shoulders 3 times, & wakes up later in the hospital. It wasn't Lee that kept him alive until the ambulance arrived -- it was the show's plot armor. XD XD XD Speaking of Lee, that seemed so fake when Zsasz & Headhunter were having that shoot-out in The Narrows against Gordon & Bullock, & Lee just casually jumps into the car that gordon & bullock were using for cover, & just backs the car up into Zsasz & Headhunter's shots, then pulls away without getting so much as a bullet graze on her or Penguin. Gee... I guess that's that plot armor stuff I was just talking about... Also, I don't usually have bad things to say about Gotham at all, but I've noticed this type of shoot-out thing once before where Gordon & Bullock got out from cover & ran away from shooting thugs unscathed, in another episode where it looked kinda fake. It happened do quickly, & was so minor that it wasn't worth mentioning it, but I hope they are able to cut togther these shoot-out scenes better.  It's starting to get a bit sloppy, & fake looking. I'd hate for it to get as bad as 'Star Wars: Rebels' where a character is surrounded by shooting, up-close bad guys on all sides & is able to get away without a scratch [Link].

Ok, so, William is still alive. *Whew* I thought that was quite a waste to just kill him off like that. It would have been a waste to kill off a character with so much potential, who is just meeting his parents again after so many years, & also a waste as a character that has so many immense super powers. I can't remember which character said this, but it was said that 'He has what everone wants.' There are far too many stories to be told off of that 1, albeit newly introduced, core character. When he arose out of the water at the end, I was like "Yeah, that makes a bit more sense." The next time we see X-Files, Disney will most likely own it.

Welp! After that episode, I certainly know what my Facebook cover is gonna be until further notice. :D That's a cool new suit for Thunder. I'm always smiling whenever Anissa is talking to her parents about this super hero stuff. There's just something about a very ardent sidekick who's always ready for action! Hmm, a bunch of  people in stasis containers with powers, eh? Wow, this is getting quite interesting indeed. I'm not even all that worried about Lala's current situation right now -- but still, let's get that little Lala mystery answered next episode, though -- please & thank you.
(Black Lightning; 1x9; The Book of Little Black Lies)

Steel-Shock Spider-Man??? What the heck??? o.O That's an armored suit he's in??? I doubt his shoulders are that wide. That doesn't exactly look anatomically sound...

Well, dang! Deke sure did figure out who his parents were FAST! Coulson's joke to Mack aboard the Principia was priceless. I can see how he couldn't help himself with that one. Heck, I would've done it too. XD XD XD

Welp! 'Avengers: Infinity War' trailer #2 done broke the internet. Interesting choice not airing the trailer during Agents of SH.I.E.L.D. this week. There was only a commerical, during the show, saying "Watch it online now." I was like, "Hmm, uh, ok... That's different." I guess they were going for a YouTube page views hi-score or something. It seems to have paid off too, because at the time I watched it on YouTube, it had gotten at least a million views per hour. Yikes! I've been watching other YouTuber's reaction videos. Note to self: Watch Grace Randolph's previous video where she says who she thinks is going to die in this movie.

3/14/2018

Ahhh, the plot thickens. Jefferson doesn't want to be around Gambi right now, but I'm sure he'll come around. What the heck is going on with Lala exactly??? 1 more episode of mystery should tease the audience nicely, but no more than that, please. Otherwise, this is going to feel very
LEGI⨂N-esque; long-term confusing.

Speaking of Scream, the 3rd season of Scream is supposed to premiere this month. They still haven't announced what night though. They'd better get on it, or soon there won't be any more March left to show it in!

The way that they poke fun at the Stab movies at the begining of Scream 4 gives me an idea of what they can do for part 5. They could poke fun at how a certain soundtrack album's song title gives away who killer is in the movie, & also how another soundtrack has a certain song with lyrics that gives away who the killer is in a different movie, because this actually happens with 2 of the Scream soundtracks. Soundtracks do come out before the actual movies do, in most cases. Anyways, I'd appreciate that kind of self-referential ribbing.

So, between Coulson's team finding out he's dying, Yo-Yo's current state, & the wedding, I'm guessing there wasn't a dry eye in the house. & between the '5 by 5' line, J. August Richards guest appearance, & the fear manifestation giving the idea that all of Coulson's adventures are occuring inside his head mind, like the Buffy 'Normal Again' episode, this episode felt very Buffy/Angel-ish. Always great to see Deathlok. I seee he's
a bit more acrobatic this time around. Must've picked up a few tricks while he was gone. Love the super hero landing too. Can we please get Deathlok & Supergirl's Guardian, their own shows -- or comics -- OR BOTH!?
EX-CEL-LENT surprise as to whom Deke's parents are at the end. ðŸ‘Œ

I see the similarities between Mr. Chuckleteeth & The Angriest Boy in the World from Legion. I wonder if this episode had the same director, or writer, or whatever! Their scenes were directed so similarly. Maybe it's just a trend that's starting??? o.O Anyways, cool, creepy episode. I can't wait for that episode to have a sequel like they did with other episodes. A cursed town has a lot of potential.

This show is great! It's great how every new episode becomes the best episode thus far! This show came along right after The Flash's 3rd seaon left a bad taste in my mouth, so trust me when I say that Black Lightning is just the palate clenser I needed! I was watching the last minute like 'Huh??? How are you alive... AGAIN??? & What the heck is going on here???' Can't wait to find out next week.

Whoa! Dove Cameron REALLY IS rotten to the core! :O :O :O ! ! ! & of course, as usual, right when I thought Mack was going to die, he doesn't. I wish they had've gotten Yo-Yo's arms before escaping. :( So, I guess this means Fitz will give her  some cybernetic arms with a full compliment of detactable proximity mines??? Yes, please. :) Unless Kasius gets his hands on her before that can happen??? >:( Or maybe he does capture her, but takes her cybernetic arms away??? Anyways, with all of this time hopping & talk of time loops, 1 thing's for sure, if the bad guys don't kill Deke 1st, high cholesteral certainly will. I wanted a cheese burger & onion rings after that scene! Hmm, after seeing Zeke's reaction to how real beer tastes, I wonder what his framework'd version of beer tasted like, apple juice perhaps??? O.O

What a charming episode. Limited dialogue, light comedic overtones, swarms of drones, & even a moral at the end of the story. I was wondering if that thing they said about the Twitter talkbot, at the begining of the show, was true -- turns out
IT IS! :O How did I not know this??? I've even recently looked up the racist comments. I've seen many things in my time, but a racist A.I., well, that's just disturbing... But hey, she was only saying she was taught by humans... Sad but true...

Wait... So,
that's all that you get for catching all 151 pokémon??? Wow, Nintendo really knows how to troll their fan base! You contact Professor Oak via PC, & all you get is a him giving you congrats, accompanied by a congrats tune that's quickly drowned out by the Pokémon Center theme. Then you go to the programmer guy, & he gives you a diploma with your re-used title screen image on it, saying congrats, you got all 151, with no congrats music at all. HAHAHA XD Ouch! Man, all I can say is: Thank yoooou, YouTube. Now, that I've seen what actually happens, I'll never even dream of doing it myself -- & why the heck would I?!?! Winning the actual game was much more satisfiying than ever trying to 'catch 'em all'. I am now reminded of the ending to Back to the Future -- & yes, THIS IS the whole ending;  same music you've heard all gamer long except for the 'Johnny Be Good' level, same white letters, same black background, same yellow & purple border you've seen while playing the game, & no picture of the car or anything.

Marvel's Fresh Start is potentially a good thing. If they actually have a 7 - 10 year plan (or beyond) of where the stories are going to lead, (like how the Marvel Studios movies have) then ok, it's a good thing, but if they're only going to just monkey around ONCE AGAIN, then it's a bad thing. I also wonder how many newer characters of color will get flush down the toilet, never to be seen or heard from again in this current reboot. 8 reboots in 6 years... Ouch... Marvel is supposed to be an industry leader, but they seem more concered with all of the issue #1 sales bumbs they're going to receive ONCE AGAIN by doing this. Is this what industry leaders are supposed to be doing, & teaching indie comic companies; that reboots = sales bumbs, so do 'em every year??? All of these reboots; Am I supposed to have confidence that this will actual stick this time, & not get the same annual, & 'mandatory', hard-reset that has come so many times before???

Cool costume, but if Anissa wants to continue fighting crime, she may want to wear gloves so that people won't be able to trace her finger prints, should that ever become an issue in the future.

Ok, pretty good episode, but we all knew that Reign would get away with Purity to further set-up this current story arc, so it was pretty standard stuff. I hope they figure out that Samantha is Reign soon. Any longer & it will feel like it's being dragged out too long. Lena says she knows what's wrong with Sam & that she's going to make her better. What the heck does all of that mean??? According to Lena's track record with, well, just about everything, she doesn't know squat about what's wrong or how to make her better! We'll see though... Oh yeah, & here is yet even more proof that Mon El can't fight. Why is he even here??? I hope that Chris Wood gets a better part to play in some other T.V. show, in the future.

Logged into Facebook, & the first thing I see is a box saying "We would like to know how to work better for you. Please take a moment to answer these question." &, like, there were no questions or even a start button, just boxes you could click that said agree, strongly, agree, disaagre, etc. So, I hit strongly disagree & the box says "Thanks for answering our questions.", then the box disappears, & I'm like, "Dude... What questions??? I didn't get to answer any..." Welp! Facebook never ceases to bewilder the masses, that's for sure...

Uh... What the heck is this??? These mutha-lovers using cardboard as gaming peripherals??? o.O It's got this playful, elementary school science center field trip, geeky vibe to it that kinda draws you in. It's ironic because I absolutely hated Nintendo during their Wii era for being super cheap & begging people for sales, but this Labo idea is kinda interesting. & aside from it just being interesting, I have to say, I really can't knock their hustle, this time around.

Ok, I think I've solved this whole "Why do people on Facebook keep asking the "Who's faster, Superman or The Flash?" question. Someone recently posted "How old were you when Spider-Man 1 came out?" & many of the comments said that they were below 3 years old, or weren't even born when it came out. Yeah, this answers so much... But jeez, even though they'rer super-young, can't they just Google it or, for a more comprehensive answer, YouTube it? & Why is is always Superman & The Flash? Can't it ever be someone else & The Flash???

So, I heard that fan theory that the MTV Scream show is just another extension of Gale Weathers' Stab movies, only made for TV. One thing wrong with that theory: You don't see a 'Based on the novels by Gale Weathers' credit when the show comes on. If I were to try adding more to this theory, I'd say that, if anything, it was a competitor's attempt to capitalize on the popularity of the Stab movies. You know? Sorta like how Power Rangers was popular, so then Tattoed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills came out. It makes sense that the MTV's Scream show is really a competitor creating a knock-off of Stab, rather than being Stab: The Series itself. Think about it, it doesn't even have the Ghostface mask, but ratehr a knock off mask -- OH, BUT WAIT -- Now I must destroy my own fan theory, because season 3 IS USING THE GHOSTFACE MASK. Welp! I guess some fan theories were never meant to be. Although, my theory can still make sense if you say that the Scream universe has now merged with the Stab knock-off TV universe, forever changing the Stab knock-off TV series into an amalgamation of the two. After all, season 3 IS being considered a reboot, while still being called season 3. Ok... this is too meta... even for me...

It's a shame that you have to wait for a TV show to be over, & be on clearance to get early-to-mid 90's prices on action figures like this. & These Marvel, & Dc action figure prices are outrageous. I guess you have to take the good with the bad. The good is that we get to see all of these cool super hero movies, but the bad is that the toy prices get hiked all the way up to the sky. I remember going into a comic store in the mid 2000's, & seeing action figures for $20 a pop. I then went into a Target & saw the same toy for maybe a little more or less than $10. The same with other toys that I saw in the comic store, vs. Target. I understand that the comic store is what you would call a specialty shop, so it has specialty shop prices, but now it's like every store has specialty shop prices. I can't even blame inflation for the toy prices now-a-days. This is just pure, unadulturated greed. & Don't get me started on these Marvel, TMNT, & Street Fighter figurines that are the size of a penny that are priced like 6 inch figures of the mid-90's (4.99 a pack). I'm like, "Wow get a a life with that!" I'll tell you one thing: I feel for the parents of little kids these days... Kids that don't know the value of a dollar, & don't care about it being too expensive. The kid just simply wants the toy. & more often than not, the parents can't say no...

UPDATE (2/7/2018): They are now
25 bucks a pop!

Ok, really? A mental mindscape catharsis episode? Really? This far out of the early 2000’s? Well, Im just glad that’s over. Hopefully I won’t have to see it happen again in this show again with Supergirl or any other character. Already saw it in Gotham, Power Rangers Dino Thunder & Buffy the Vampire Slayer just to name a few, & I’m not a fan of this type of episode. Luckily other things were happening, too. But I have to say, when I saw the name of the episode, I thought that it was going to be wall-to-wall action, but it was actually a letdown action-wise. So, Mon El & company were all like “We can’t fight or it will jeopardize the future.”, & I was all like, “Dude, what kind of super hero are you, then? You’re worried about dying in 1 fight? Sheesh, what is this, DBZ? What a wimp”. Oh, & look at this picture of Mon El for this episode on IMDB, looking like he’s gonna do something! XD XD XD HAHAHAHA! What a joke! In fact, he’s still the show’s biggest joke. Because just when I was glad that The Legion decided to fight Reign, I was like, “Oh, that’s right… How could I forget?: Mon El is a really crappy fighter (as wall abundantly apparent in this episode) So, who cares about him fighting anyway?” This dude comes back from from the future & still can't fight??? Ok, well, we are talking about Mon  El, aren't we? So, that's kinda an accurate assessment. Brainac-5 stayed in the ship & just shot lasers at Reign. Actually, he could have just owned her with that alone, right? How convenient that Reign knocked out the tri-cannons & the ship couldn't be used again in that fight, right? Then you have Imra, who just used telekinesis to throw bench press weights at Reign, which she easily zapped with eye lasers. Ah, if only their glowing 'L' rings could save the day, eh? Oh, & Lana Luthor, make up your mind. First you like James, then you don’t because you read his body language wrong, then by the end of the episode you like him again. She’s cute, but I wouldn’t want her as a girlfriend. Too much yo-yo-ing back-&-forth with that 1. Yeesh! I’m just glad that all of this happened in 1 episode instead of the rest of the season. Isn't most of this stuff already over & done with by episode 10 of a season? Sheesh. Ok, so just to check some things off...
☑ Main character mental catharsis mindscape episode: Done!
☑ The Legion saying they can’t fight: Over with!
☑ Lana & James beating around the bush: Kaput! (Hopefully :/)
Great! Now let’s get back to stuff that I actually want to see...

I'm listening to the I Know What You Did Last Summer soundtrack for the first time. I didn't know that there were these many chill-out songs on here. It's like listening to a rock radio station at 2 AM. It's certainly different than a Scream soundtrack.
